Seasonal Camping at Majestic Oaks RV Campground is amazing, you will not forget how lucky you are to be situated along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, right here in the heart of Biloxi.
Sometimes at Majestic Oaks RV Campground, we forget how lucky we are to be situated along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, right here in the heart of Biloxi. We’ve got year-round activities and fun thanks to seasonable temperatures, lots of sun, and soft Gulf breezes. Whether you want a morning round of golf, an evening’s turn at the tables at nearby casinos, a day of deep sea fishing, a leisurely seafood lunch, or simply putting your feet up and relaxing in the shade of our beautiful mature oaks at our campground, we’ve got you covered—all year, 24/7, in every season. You’ll find plenty to do here for everyone in the family from seniors to juniors.
Our RV campground is open in every season. We never close. We welcome our snow birds every year as a refuge from winter’s harsh weather, as parkas give way to t-shirts and shorts here in Biloxi, even in the winter. And, there’s nothing like spring in the South. You’ll smell fresh azaleas, rhododendron, roses, and all the spring scents, while enjoying mild temperatures with warming Gulf breezes. In the summer, those same Gulf breezes help moderate our warm sunny days. And, in the afternoon, you’ll get a thunderstorm or two, but it’s still beach and BBQ time!…. actually, however, the fall is our favorite time of the year for the beach. It’s when our many miles of pristine white sand beaches and warm days still welcome sunbathers without the summer crowds. Our shores are perfect for surf fishing, shelling, or simply relaxing.
With four great seasons of fun, sun, and mild temperatures, our Gulf Coast area has activities for visitors and residents throughout the year. Perhaps one of our most famous claims to fame is our world-renowned Mardi Gras season! I bet you thought that Mardi Gras was only for New Orleans! Well, the first Mardi Gras was actually held in New Orleans in 1699, and shortly thereafter in Mobile, AL just a few miles to the east from Majestic Oaks in 1703. So, we’ve been right in the middle of Mardi Gras ever since… with our annual Biloxi celebration begining 209 years later in 1908. Masked balls, costumes, floats, revelry, and fun…all were a prelude to the Season of Lent. Largely, the religious meaning of Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday has waned, but our guests still enjoy the fun and traditions of this holiday. But, soon Mardi Gras and Lent give way to Easter and Spring Break, the annual get-away for many families.
Majestic Oaks is the perfect place for your family’s Spring Break this year. With so much to offer and do for family members of all ages, the Biloxi area will make this Spring Break memorable. The kids all grow up so fast, sometimes all we have left are memories. They’ll have plenty to post on their Instagram or TikTok, whether it’s simply sunning on the beach, golfing, tennis, or landing a prize catch offshore…. They’ll have the Instas to prove it!
Spring Break comes and goes quickly… we return home, buckle down, get back to work and school, but life continues here on the Gulf Coast and Majestic Oaks for those lucky enough to live here, or be able to work remotely, or are retired. As summer approaches, we’re already planning events for Memorial Day and the Fourth and Labor Day. These major holidays bring our area countless visitors. These are family times, and Majestic Oaks is the perfect central point for fun in the sun. Whether the family is doing a bayou tour, or golfing, or fishing, or one of a thousand different activities there’s something for everyone… even mom and dad can enjoy a night out for dinner at one of our famous seafood restaurants such as the Half Shell, the Reef, or Mary Mahoney’s Old French House, and then hit the casinos at the Beau Rivage or Hard Rock for some late evening fun. Late in the summer season, Biloxi has its famous seafood festival in September. It’s a must if you enjoy great seafood … fried, raw, baked, broiled, boiled, you name it, they’ve got it.
As we’ve said, the fall is our favorite time of the year here at Majestic Oaks and the Gulf Coast. The crowds are less, and the weather is still warm. For the Halloween oriented guests, the Mississippi Gulf Coast has more than its fair share of spooky history. The Old Biloxi Cemetery Tour with its 318-year history of Biloxi offers a free self-guided tour, which brings the coastal cemetery to life, including live history-based reenactments and musical performances at graveside. Our annual Terror on the Coast is a Hollywood-style haunted house located in Gulfport that uses props from academy award-winning TV and movie productions filmed in and around Mississippi and Louisiana. The 86,500-square-foot haunted house is full of thrills and surprises that will make visitors feel like they’ve just stepped onto the set of a horror film. And, the Mystic Ghost Ride Company offers haunted tours including a bayou boat tour, a historical ghost pub walking tour or a pirate’s curse sunset cruise. the gulf coast.
Fall naturally and gently gives way to winter here in Biloxi. We get a few days of cold weather, but nothing like that experienced up north. Winter golf is still possible, fishing is good, and our holiday events, boat parades, holiday markets, tree lighting ceremonies, holiday and pet parades, and events with Santa all make Biloxi a perfect place to spend December and the start of winter. The only white Christmas we can guarantee for you is our white sand beaches. Sorry, folks no snow. But, that’s why you came here in the first place in winter…. But, you’re welcome any time of the year, winter, spring, summer or fall…. you know who to call…. or just book online at majesticoaksrv.com See you soon!easonal
